Hurricane Fly out of Morgiana Hurdle

Updated: November 16, 2011

Champion Hurdle winner Hurricane Fly has been withdrawn from this Sunday’s Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown.

The son of Montjeu, who landed five Grade 1′s in a row last season, also missed the same race last season, which was due to be his seasonal reappearance.

It would appear likely that Hurricane Fly, who was the 4-9 favourite for Sunday’s race, will now wait for the Hattons Grace Hurdle to make his seasonal debut. His trainer Willie Mullins could still be represented by So Young and French Champion Hurdle winner Thousand Stars. That pair will be joined by Oscars Well, Pittoni and Akatara.
