Unaccompanied set for Hattons Grace outing

Updated: November 17, 2011

The Moyglare Stud’s high class mare Unaccompanied may step up to the top level in the Bar One Racing Hatton’s Grace Hurdle next month.

The four-year-old, trained by Dermot Weld, has already run twice this month, winning a Listed hurdle at Naas on Saturday, following a second-place finish on the Flat at Leopardstown.

Connections decided against running in the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown next weekend and are now likely to wait for the longer race the following month.

“She did it very well and has come out of the race really well,” said Stan Cosgrove, racing manager of Moyglare Stud.

“The trainer’s talking about maybe going for the Hatton’s Grace around Christmas time. You have to keep her going to keep her fit as she’s a great doer – that’s why she was able to have the two quick runs.”
