Norwich host in-form Arsenal at Carrow Road this Saturday the 19th of November for an early kick off at 12:45pm.
Having endured a poor start to the season, Arsenal find themselves in the unfamiliar position of 7th in the Premier League. However, Arsene Wenger’s men have experienced somewhat of a renaissance of late and they will be hopeful of continuing that momentum at Carrow Road.
Nevertheless, Norwich will take solace from the fact that Arsenal have the worst defensive record away from home in the Premier League, having conceded an amazing 17 goals in 5 games.
Paul Lambert’s men are performing above expectations in the league and find themselves in 9th position. The Canaries have taken 8 points from a possible 15 at home this season, but they may find it difficult to break down a rejuvenated Arsenal defence.
Interestingly, former Arsenal talisman Thierry Henry will be training with the Gunners this week and Arsene Wenger feels it will be a boost to his players.
However, Wenger is facing a potential defensive headache as Kieran Gibbs looks to be ruled out, while Backary Sagna remains unavailable due to a broken ankle.
Therefore, Laurent Koscielny or Johann Djourou could start at full back, or even centre back, if Wenger chooses to drop the unremarkable Per Mertesacker.
Park Ju-Young has returned, while Marouane Chamakh will hope to start as Wenger may opt to start Van Persie from the bench.
Norwich will still be without the services of Elliot Ward, Zak Whitbread, ex-Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala and James Vaughan. Other than that, Paul Lambert has a clean bill of health to choose from.
Arsenal (probable): Szczesny, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Santos; Song, Arteta, Ramsey; Walcott, Park Ju Young, Gervinho
Norwich City (probable): Ruddy, Barnett, Martin, Tierney, Naughton; Johnson, Fox, Hoolahan, Pilkington; Morison, Bennett
Prediction: Narrow win for Arsenal with Norwich sneaking a goal from a set-piece. You can get over 8/1 for Norwich 1-2 Arsenal.
