Former Ireland coach Eddie O’Sullivan has revealed that he is keen to have a crack at the England job vacated by Martin Johnston.
O’Sullivan, who left the American Eagles franchise after this years World Cup, has admitted, through his agent, that he is interested in filling the void left by the World Cup winning captains exit.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph O’Sullivan’s agent John Barker said “Eddie is definitely interested in the England job.”
The England job is one of the most high-profile positions in world rugby and they are a side with tremendous potential.
“Eddie’s big advantage is that he has tremendous experience of the Six Nations and a fantastic track record in that competition.”
During his time in northern hemisphere rugby O’Sullivan guided Ireland to three triple crown successes. He was also part of the coaching ticket on the 2005 British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand.
