Crack filly Snow Fairy has taken to the skies again as she attempts to land the Cathy Pacific Hong Kong Vase on December 11th.
The duel Oaks winner from last year has already added further gloss to her c.v already this season by landing the Queen Elizabeth II Commemorative Cup for a second year in a row a few short weeks ago.
She is now on route for a clash with Melbourne Cup first and second Dunaden and Red Cadeaux, her own stablemate, as she looks to land another Group 1 over a 1m4f..
Speaking as the filly was been readied for her trip, her trainer Ed Dunlop said “We had nominated for the Cup and the Vase initially but last night I had a long discussion with Mrs Patino (owner) and we have elected to run in the Vase. She’s won the Cup and no horse has won the Cup and the Vase. She is flying as we speak from Japan to Hong Kong .”
Former champion jockey Ryan Moore has been booked for the ride on a filly who he has rode to five Group 1 victories.
