Sligo Rovers have signed striker Danny North from St. Pats it was confirmed this morning after the player agreed personal terms with the FAI Cup winners.
The 24 year old is all set for a move West as the Bit o’ Red aim to win their first league title since 1977. He has become their first signing of the close season but more new faces are expected to arrive at the Showgrounds as Paul Cook’s men look to go one step further then last season.
The Grimsby born front man confirmed he agreed personal terms this morning on Twitter

The news comes days after Sligo announced defenders Gavin Peers and Alan Keane have signed new contracts for the 2012 season.
North started his career with home town club Grimsby Town where he spent six years. He scored just 17 goals though and moved onto Alfreton Town where he played just five games before moving to Ireland.
He spent nearly two seasons at Richmond Park scoring an impressive 22 goals in 48 games nearly averaging a goal every two games. He won accolades such as League Two player of the month whilst at Grimsby and will add more quality to the Sligo front line.
