England star Chris Aston has been banned for four weeks by the RFU for his involvement in the mass brawl during his sides 30-25 win against Leicester Tigers at the weekend.
The Northampton winger sparked the brawl after dragging Alesana Tuliagi out of touch by the hair. This sparked chaotic scenes in which players from both sides freely went after each other. The RFU banned Aston for a month as his actions were deemed ‘ contrary to good sportsmanship’ according to an RFU disciplinary committee.
Aston will now miss Northampton’s two cruical Heineken Cup games against French outfit Castres. He will be free to play from January 4th.
