Rooney named in 2011 FIFA-FIFPro World XI

Wayne Rooney was reunited up front alongside Cristano Ronaldo after the pair were named in the 2011 FIFA-FIFPro World XI announced Monday, as voted on by more than 50,000 players.

As expected the team is dominated by Barcelona with five of Pep Guardiola’s squad in the XI lead by three time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi.

Rooney and his United team mate Nemanja Vidic are the only representatives from outside of La Liga to make the team with the final four spots taken up by Real Madrid stars.
