Ballyfermot Bears announce new head coach

Updated: January 12, 2012

The Ballyfermot Bears have announced that Conor Kelly will be their head coach for the upcoming 2012 season.

Clondalkin native Kelly takes the reins for the 2012 season, with the Bears looking to cap their second season with success.

The Bears finished bottom of the Leinster league last season, however speaking after his appointment, Kelly believes that there is much more to come from the growing franchise.

“”We have to get this season off to a better start than last year” he said, “it is important that we learn from mistakes that were made last year so we can start moving up the ladder in the league.”

Most players will be going into their second season so we are still a young squad,” Kelly added, “but the players are aware of the work that is needed to get to the required level.”

“Our squad has improved vastly in the last twelve months and I hope to continue that progression. I am really looking forward to what I believe will be a big year for the Bears.”
