According to an exclusive in the Daily Mirror, Spurs have placed a staggering £150 million price tag on in form Welsh winger Gareth Bale in an effort to stave off the interest of Manchester City and the rest of Europe’s elite.

Ahead of their crunch top of the table clash with City, rumours had surfaced that Bale had a £50 million buyout clause in his currency contract, a sum the mega rich Premier League leaders were willing to meet.

However the Stellar group, who represent Bale, have denied the existence of an escape clause meaning Roberto Mancini would have to trump the current world record of £80 million that Real Madrid paid to Manchester United for Cristano Ronaldo.

Barcelona and Real are also interested in the player however the price tag looks set to deter the trio for now and with three years remaining on the 22 year olds existing contract Bale looks set to remain at White Hart Lane for now.
