The Racing Post has been unveiled as the new sponsor of the Arkle Chase at this years Cheltenham festival.
The two mile chase for novices looks set to be one of the most competitive races of the entire festival with the likes of Sprinter Sacre, Peddlers Cross and Al Ferof all set to line up.
It is the first time that the Racing Post has sponsored a race at the festival since 2008. They supported what is now the Byrne Group Plate for two years.
Speaking to the paper after the announcement, Racing Post editor Bruce Millington said: “Racing Post is thrilled to be returning to the Cheltenham Festival as a sponsor this year. We have been looking for the right opportunity and to be associated with as prestigious a race as the Arkle Chase seems very fitting.
“The intended line-up for this year’s race is mouth-watering and we are very excited at the prospect of an enthralling contest on the first day of the festival.”
