Reading join Ipswich in chase for Andrews

According to reports in England Blackburn midfielder Keith Andrews has handed in a transfer request.

The out of favour Irish International, whose contract expires in the summer, spent the first half of the season with Ipswich, impressing with nine goals for Paul Jewell’s side.

Andrews is now back at Ewood Park but with Steve Kean freezing him out of the first team picture the 31 years old has taken matters into his hands and requested a transfer.

Ipswich are interested in taking the former MK Dons star back to Portman Road while reports emerging tonight suggests that Reading have also entered the fray.
