Jessies Dream on course for Irish Hennessy

Updated: February 7, 2012

Smart chaser Jessies Dream is on course to make his belated seasonal debut in the Irish Hennessy at Leopardstown this coming Sunday.

The Gordon Elliot trained gelding has been off the track since finishing a narrow second to Bostons Angel in the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham festival last March.

Speaking in his Betfair column Elliot said “Jessies Dream will make his comeback in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Leopardstown on Sunday. We wanted to take our time making the decision just to make sure everything was right and that’s the case now.

“He’s been working very well at home for the last while and he schooled particularly well this morning so we’re really looking forward to having him back on the track.

“Timmy Murphy, who rides all Mr Johnson’s horses, is coming over to ride him.”
