Derrytresk have been banned from club competitions for five years, with the suspension starting after the weekend’s All-Ireland Junior final against Clonbur of Galway.

The Central Hearings Committee made the ruling last night, as Derrytresk and Dromid Pearses appealed against suspensions and fines awarded after a brawl at their recent All-Ireland semi-final.

Forward Joe McKee will be available to play at the weekend after his suspension was overturned. The appeals against bans for three other starters and four substitutes were not successful, however.

The club also had their fine reduced from €5,000 to €2,500.
