Fabio Capello quits as England manager

The Football Association of England have confirmed that Fabio Capello has resigned as manager of the England football team.

Speculation had been rife over the last few days that Capello was considering his postion after his captain John Terry has the captanicy take n off him until the criminal trail for racist allegations was over.

In a statement released by the FA David Bernstein said: “I would like to stress that during today’s meeting and throughout his time as England Manager, Fabio has conducted himself in an extremely professional manner. We have accepted Fabio’s resignation, agreeing this is the right decision. We would like to thank Fabio for his work with the England team and wish him every success in the future.”
