The winner by unanimous decision and still the WBC Heavyweight Champion of the world remains Doctor Ironfist Vitali Klitschko.
Klitschko dominated the fight at the Olympiahalle in Munich on Saturday night and finished ahead on all three of the Judges scorecards in his bout with Briton Dereck “Del Boy” Chisora.
Master of Ceremonies Michael Buffer announced the results live from Munich with reigning champion Klitschko 8 rounds clear on each score card.
The 3 judges scored it as follows:
Robin Dolpierre of France scored it 118-110 , Bela Florian of Hungary had it 118-110 whilst Eddie Pappoe of Ghama scored it 119-11.
Stern words were exchanged between the fighters in the ring after the fight. Big brother Wladimir Klitschko stepped in between the pair in the ring afterwards and words were exchanged between the fighters.
Chisora childishly sprayed water from his mouth at brother Wladimir Klitschko before the bout further distancing himself from fight fans gathered to view a good fight rather than any childish shenanigans.
Adding to the pantomime after the fight Chisora’s promoter, Frank Warren, called for the now predictable rematch between the fighters and claimed that this was Klitschko’s hardest fight since he faced Lennox Lewis in 2003.
Speaking in an interview afterward Vitali Klitschko claimed “he was upset as he wanted to finish the fight before 12 rounds”.
40 year old Klitschko also said “lets do it” when questioned on a possible summer rematch with David Haye.
