Dublin’s hurlers are flying high at present and Anthony Daly received further good news today, when injured star Alan McCrabbe confirmed he hopes to return in time for the Leinster SHC opener against Offaly at the end of May.

McCrabbe had surgery on a groin problem last month and will be out of action for at least 10 weeks before he can think about a return to full-contact training.

The player had been Dublin’s star performer in recent seasons but now with Conal Keaney and Ryan O’Dwyer sharing the workload upfront McCrabbe will be under less pressure whenhe returns.

The 2009 All Star told the Irish Sun, “It is tough being out at this stage. I am looking forward to getting back. With the boys flying it is going to be hard to get back into the team.

“I have only gone four weeks and I have another three months to go. The aim is to be back for May 17 and the Championship.
