Pádraic Joyce has returned to training with the Galway inter-county football panel. He is not expected to feature in Galway’s next game against Westmeath however.
After suffering from an Achilles injury; the Killererin club man is believed to be excited by his return: “I am more than likely going to return at this stage. The injury cleared up after Christmas. It had been giving me trouble, but I’ve been doing plenty of rehab and training on my own.”
Joyce has also spoken about new Galway manager, Alan Mulholland who has taken his first two competitive games with the county in this year’s Allianz National Football League: “Really and truly, Alan Mulholland should be given the job for three of four years to get a panel in place, to get the team developed and come together with his own panel,” – said Joyce, whose county have had two managers (Joe Kernan and Tomás Ó Flatharta) in the last two years.
