Manchester United are said to be among a host of Premier League clubs monitoring Torino’s attacking midfielder Alen Stevanovic. In this much hyped media age; the young Serbian has been likened to former United star Christiano Ronaldo. Torino have put a £6million (€7.5million) price tag on his head and the top six Premier League clubs are reported to be interested.
It should be noted that Stevanovic’s three goals in 33 appearances for Serie B side Torino mean that comparisons to Ronaldo are certainly not based on his goalscoring prowess. Having spent a season at Inter Milan (making one league appearance) the youngster was sold to Torino but comparisons to an established superstar such as Christiano Ronaldo appear to be pre-mature.
