Ten to follow at Cheltenham 2012

Champion Hurdle 3.20 Tuesday
With him missing last year’s race due to the possibility of failing the post-race drug test
He missed the defence of his crown. Hurricane fly is going to be hard to beat again this year but
Having had a wind operation and confidence booster at Wincanton Binocular can regain his crown
followed home by Hurricane fly.

William Hill Supreme Nov 1.30 Tuesday
A Group 3 winner on good ground he will appreciate the better ground that Cheltenham
usually provides. He won his last race on ground that was not ideal but apart from one mistake he
won as he liked.

BetVictor.com have announced their Supreme Novices’ Hurdle Special Offer which will give new AND existing customers the chance to claim a £20/€20 free bet for use on Day 2 at Cheltenham simply by placing a £/€20 win or e/w bet on the Festival opener!

Racing Post Arkle 2.05 Tuesday
Very impressive visually and on the clock in his entire chase wins so far.
He was 3rd in the festival opener last year where he took it up turning for home before fading to 3rd up the hill. My only concern would be if the ground came up on the testing side as he can pull very hard in the early part of his races.

Diamond Jubilee National Hunt Novice Chase 1.30 Wednesday
This big son of Oscar will appreciate the step up to 4 miles .He has experience of jumping around here as he was second behind Join Together in a grade 2 novice in November. This race has been his target for some time and he won his
prep race at Chepstow last time with ease.

(5) SIMONSIG 3/1
Neptune Novice Hurdle 2.05 Wednesday
This has been decided he will contest this instead of the opening race on Tuesday over 2 mile.
Only beaten once by Fingal bay in his 3 races over hurdles, He has shown plenty of speed in all his races and it was decided to run in this as he also stays this trip well.

sportingbet.com Queen Mother Champion Chase 3.20 Wednesday
The winner here for the last 2 years who looked even better this year, there does not seem to be any new opposition to him in the field this year. He should be followed home by Somersby as he was in 2010.

(7) NEW YEARS EVE 12/1
Weatherbys Champion Bumper 5.15 Wednesday
This Motivator gelding was very impressive when winning both his starts.
as a 4ys old he receives all the allowances from the majority of the field .His trainer is no stranger to collecting prizes on the big stage all over the world with Godolphin and has a very impressive strike rate in the high thirty per cent range.

Jewson Novices Chase 1.30 Thursday
Trained by Lucinda Russell who is having her best season ever .He was very impressive when winning last time at Musselburgh in a race won in 2011 by Divers before going on to win at Cheltenham.
Improving steadily all season he should be well up to winning this race

Ryanair Chase 2.40 Thursday
He had to miss Cheltenham last year with a fractured pelvis but was very impressive winning first time out this season at Ascot in the race he won last year .He is sure to improve again from that first outing after a year off and will take all the beating

JCB Triumph hurdle 1.30 Friday
This son of Goldneyev is unbeaten in his 5 life time appearances .
His last 2 coming at Ascot where he has been very impressive ,
he may not have beaten much or received the hype of his stable mate GRUMETI
but he can only beat what is on front of him and he is still open to more improvement.
The more testing the ground is the better it will suit him. He would not be as good as his stable mate on really fast ground
