Media sources are this morning reporting that Kerry defender, Marc O’Se, has had his four week ban upheld by a Croke Park committee and will miss his county’s Division One clash with Galway this Sunday.

O’Se and Dublin full forward, Eoghan O’Gara will both handed down punishments as a result of an altercation towards the end of the recent Allianz National League game between Kerry and Dublin. O’Se was given a month, while the Dublin man received an eight weeks suspension. Both players indicated that they were likely to appeal the bans as they felt that they were too severe.

O’Se had his hearing at GAA headquarters on Wednesday night and it now appears that after discussions with the player, the CCCC has decided that the suspension will stand. It is also understood that officials from the Kerry County Board were meeting with Croke Park officials last night as they felt that the committee had been especially hard on players from the county in recent weeks.
