Leinster Under 21 football preview & live score updates from Dublin v Laois

Dublin Under 21 manager Jim Gavin has adhered to the  ”If it’s not broke, then don’t fix it”  motto by naming the same team which edged out holders Wexford for the Leinster Under 21 Football quarter-final clash with Laois at Parnell Park.

Michael Concarr was the only Dublin injury scare but he looks set  to be declared fit to play at left corner-back.  Gary Sweeney; a veteran of the 2010 All-Ireland Under 21 winning side is still eligible to play and is expected to line out as are last year’s minors;  John Small, Jack McCaffrey, Emmet O Conghaile and Ciaran Kilkenny.  Top scorer in this year’s Under 21 Championship is full-forward Harry Dawson who is certain to prove a handful for the Laois defence.   Throw-in at Parnell Park is 7:30pm Wednesday night (7th March).

Dublin (U21FC v Laois): JB Carty; J Smith, K O’Brien, M Concarr; J Small, L Fletcher, J McCaffrey; E O Conghaile, D Byrne; G Seaver, G Sweeney, M Schutte; C Kilkenny, H Dawson, P Ryan. Subs: D Downey, A Carr, S George, J Kelly, P O’Higgins, E Keogh, M Gibbs, B Quinn, A Caffrey.
