David Wallace returns to the Munster Rugby squad for their weekend clash with Aironi.
Wallace hasn’t played since a serious knee injury in a pre-World Cup Test match against England ruled him out of the trip to New Zealand for rugby’s biggest tournament.
It is the first time that Wallace has been included in a match day squad since he sustained the injury back in August. The news comes as a relief to Munster as the province prepares to enter the pivotal end-of-season period without Conor Murray and Paul O’Connell who both suffered knee injuries during the drawn Six Nations clash with France in Paris.
David Foley is also out injured having suffered a dislocated shoulder during last weekend’s clash with Newport Gwent Dragons.
Simon Zebo and Denis Hurley have left Ireland training at Carton House so as to be included in the Munster squad for Saturday’s match after neither was named in the Ireland squad to play Scotland at the AVIVA Stadium this weekend.
