Invictus who is as short as 6/1 for the RSA Chase, may miss the race due to a setback his trainer Alan King revealed.
The gelding jumped to the front of the market for the Grade 1 contest after putting the likes of Bobs Worth to the sword in Grade 2 Reynoldstown Novices’ Chase at Ascot last month.
However King admitted on his website that the horse may now miss Cheltenham. “We will monitor the situation over the next 24 hours, but, though I have confirmed the entry for the RSA Chase, Invictus has a problem and at this stage there has to be a doubt as to whether he would run. We will keep everybody informed.”
