Megson likely to be named Wolves boss

Gary Megson looks set to take over as Wolves manager until the end of the season.

Former number two Terry Connor; who has been at the club for nearly 13 years; was appointed as manager until the end of the season following the dismissal of Mick McCarthy as boss one month ago.  Wolves have continued their woeful run however; picking up just one point from three Premier League games under Connor’s stewardship and a host of names have been linked with the Molineux hot seat.

Speaking at Cheltenham this week; former Sunderland boss Steve Bruce said that he would not be taking over the club whilst Gary Megson now looks set to be about to put pen to paper with the club languishing second last in the Premier League standings.

Megson, who has previously managed Norwich City, Blackpool, Stockport County, Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion, Nottingham Forest, Leicester City, Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield Wednesday, is interested in taking over, according to media reports, if owner Steve Morgan and chief executive Jez Moxey follow up their interest in him.
