Team News FA Cup Spurs v Bolton
Spurs will look to overcome their poor league run when they take on Bolton in an all Premier League tie in the FA Cup 6th round.
The Londoners have dropped three straight in the league but have won their last eight FA Cup ties at White Hart Lane.
Bolton had also dropped three straight before their controversial win over Q.P.R which will be remembered only as an advertisement on the need for either goal line technology or a video referee.
Harry Redknapp will likely have the option of winger Aaron Lennon when he picks his squad with the winger having made significant recovery from a hamstring strain that sidelined him against Everton.
Lennon’s return would provide the added bonus of seeing Luka Modric move back into a more central role where he is more comfortable and dangerous
William Gallas could also start having come off the bench against Everton, while Redknapp will have to decide between Jermaine Defoe or Louis Saha as a partner for Emmanuel Adebayor. Both men could start if the Togolese striker doesn’t recover from a hamstring injury.
In goal Carlo Cudicini is likely to start with Brad Friedal on the bench. Heurelio Gomes, Michael Dawson (ankle), Jermaine Jenas, David Bentley, and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) all remain out.
Owen Coyle has a reasonably healthy squad to pick from with Tyrone Mears, long term absentee Stuart Holden and Marcos Alonso the only men out.
The only major doubt is Chris Eagles who has been suffering with hamstring trouble in the week.
