Team news ahead of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1B clash between Wexford and Limerick at Wexford Park
Both side’s lost their opening round of matches however they bounced back to record impressive wins last time out with Wexford too strong for Offaly and Limerick beating Laois in their own backyard.
The last team these two sides met was last July when Limerick beat Wexford 1-22 to 2-13 in the All Ireland qualifiers and a loss for either side on Sunday would almost certainly end any promotion challenge this time round.
Manager Liam Dunne has made seven changes from the side that beat Offaly.
Niall Breen replaces Eanna Martin in goal, while in the back line James Tonks and Keith Rossiter come in for Bobby Kenny and John Leacy.
Elsewhere Darren Stamp and Jim Berry both return after injury while up front Rory Jacob and Stephen Banville replace Tomas O’Leary and Garrett Sinnott.
Declan Hannon and Kevin Downes are again ruled out of the Limerick hurling team. Hannon is struggling with a groin injury and misses out while Downes has a hamstring strain. Shane Dowling is struggling with a dead leg but is expected to be fit.
Brian Geary, Sean Tobin and Mark O’Riordan took part in full training midweek and should be available.
Wexford: N Breen; J Tonks, K Rossiter, B Kehoe; D Stamp, M O’Hanlon, C Kenny; H Kehoe, D Redmond; J Berry, E Quigley, PJ Nolan; R Jacob, S Banville, D O’Keeffe.
