Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has hailed the attitude that trouble striker Carlos Tevez has shown since returning to the club following his self imposed exile from the club.
Tevez is expected to make his first start for City exactly six months since he last appeared for the team lying second in the Premier League and Mancini is keen to put the past behind them and work towards winning their first Premier League title.
“What happened with Carlo six months ago is in the past. Carlo is part of our plans for the last two months, he is a City player.
“I think Carlo in this moment wants to play football. He needs to play football, for him and for his future. He wants to play.
“I can see in training he is perfect, better than last year. He wants to play and deserves to play and help the team.
“I have always thought Carlo is a top player, even when we had the problem.”
City face Chelsea on Wednesday night knowing a win is vital if they are to stay on the coattails of league leaders Manchester Utd.
