Tipperary v Offaly preview & live scores

Updated: March 13, 2011

All Ireland champions Tipperary, welcome Offaly to Nenagh on Sunday knowing that they need a win to keep their title hopes alive.

The home side have lost two of their three opening games, suffering defeat at the hands of Dublin and Kilkenny. A win over Waterford in the last round gave Declan Ryan’s men their first points of the campaign and they will be hoping to add to that haul this weekend.

Offaly have been one of the weaker sides in this division all season and will again be underdogs when they face the All Ireland champions. Joe Dooley is attempting to build a new side in the Faithful County, but in truth the team are far too reliant on Dooley’s son Shane. The latter is absent through injury on Sunday and anything other than a comprehensive Tipperary win will be a shock.

Verdict: Tipperary
