Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Swansea’s on loan star Gylfi Sigurdsson with a view to making a summer move.
The on loan Hoffenheim star has impressed since joining the Welsh outfit with six goals in 11 games to steer the club to the brink of a top half finish.
Such has been his impact that the 22 year old was named the Barclays player of the month for March.
The seven times capped Icelandic International began his career with Championship side Reading before joining Hoffenheim in 2010 in a multi-million pound deal.
The attacking midfielder struggled to hold down a regular place in the German side’s line up this year despite nine goals in 29 Bundesliga games (10 starts) last season prompting Brendan Rodgers to swoop for his services.
Any hope that Swansea have of keeping the starlet could be in jeopardy with Arsene Wenger reportedly keen to bring the player to London.
New Hoffenheim boss Markus Babbel has indicated that he would like to take the player back to the club however a sizeable offer could tempt him into doing business.
