Team News ahead of Friday night’s Airtricity League games

League of Ireland fixtures, 6th April 2012
Derry City vs. UCD Kick off 7.45pm
Bray Wanderers vs. Sligo Rovers Kick off 7.45pm
Bohemians vs. Cork City kick off 7.45pm
Dundalk vs. Shelbourne Kick off 7.45pm
Saint Patrick’s Athletic vs. Shamrock Rovers Kick off 7.05pm LIVE ON RTE
Monaghan United vs. Drogheda United Kick off 8pm

Derry City vs. UCD Kick off 7.45pm

Derry:

The Northerners will be without Barry Molloy, who serves a suspension, Mark Farren (foot injury) and Stewart Greacen (knee injury).

Otherwise Declan Devine has not other injury concerns as he goes in search of a fourth win of the season in front of the Brandywell faithful.

UCD:

The Students will have to try and snatch all three points up in Derry without the likes of Paul Corry and Ger Barron who are both suffering from foot injuries. James Kavanagh, Brother of Shelbourne star Patrick Kavanagh, is a doubt with a hip injury.

However, Gary Burke seems fit to take part in this fixture.

Bray Wanderers vs. Sligo Rovers Kick off 7.45pm

Bray Wanderers:

Manager Paul Devlin will be without several key players for the clash against title-chasers Sligo Rovers, with Adam Mitchell and Shane O’Connor both injured and Dane Massey also out through suspension.

Sligo:

Jason McGuiness is a doubt for Sligo Rovers through a back injury, while former Bohemians and Dundalk man Mark Quigley is suspended.

Pascal Millen is still unavailable to play, but he should be in action for the clash with Derry next week.

Bohemians vs. Cork City kick off 7.45pm

Bohs:

Aaron Callaghan will be seeking his three points and first goals as Bohemians managers when Cork visit the capital however he will have to do so without Dwayne Wilson who misses out due to personal reasons.

Callaghan has no other injury worries ahead of the game.

Cork City

While newly-promoted Cork have a long list of injuries with Stephen Mulcahy (knee), Kevin Murray (knee), Neal Horgan (knee), John Dunleavy (Flu) and Tadhg Purcell (ankle) all out.

Dundalk vs. Shelbourne Kick off 7.45pm

Dundalk:

Former Sligo Rovers man Derek Foran will face late fitness tests along as will defender John Mountney.

Luke Danville will miss out once again, while Eoghan Osborne and Mark Griffin look set to return to action at the end of April while Nathan Murphy and Paul Walsh will be looking to come back into the side.

Shelbourne:

Alan Matthews has no injury problems coming into games although they will be without the suspended Glen Cronin.

St Patrick’s Athletic vs. Shamrock Rovers Kick off 7.05pm LIVE ON RTE

St Pats:

Liam Buckley’s only injury problem ahead of the clash with league leaders Shamrock Rovers is Aidan Price.

Shamrock Rovers:

The defending champions will be missing a couple of players with Conor Winn (Back), Ciaran Kilduff (Leg) , Stephen O’Donnell and Kerrea Gilbert (Hamstring) all out.

Former Sligo Rovers man Gary McCabe returns to the squad following suspension.

Monaghan United vs. Drogheda United Kick off 8pm

Team News:

Monaghan United:

Newly-promoted Monaghan United will have Aidan Collins back from his back injury and he’ll slot into defence for tomorrow night’s game however Willo McDonagh is still sidelined.

Drogheda United:

Mick Cooke will field former Monaghan United players Eric Foley, Ryan Brennan and Declan O’Brien in his line up as he looks to continue his sides impressive start to the season.
