Galway v Kildare preview & live score updates

Updated: April 8, 2012

We have live score updates from the division two clash between Galway v Kildare.

Galway host Kildare at Pearse Stadium in what is effectively a play-off for the second Football League Division 2 final berth and promotion to Division 1.

Kildare name an unchanged starting XV for the encounter having suffered no injury worries from their win over Westmeath.  The Leinster men have a one point lead over their western rivals so a draw would be enough for the Lilywhites to progress to the divisional final.

Galway manager Alan Mulholland meanwhile has said that he was not expecting promotion for his young side but that  “if we get it, we’d take it!  It won’t be the end of the world if we don’t go back up straight away, but if we do we’ll be delighted.

“It will really focus our minds from late summer to the beginning of February next year.  We’ll take our chances and really give this game (against Kildare) the very best we can.”
