Cork City striker Tadgh Purcell has left the club to pursue a career in England.
The Lee side club confirmed the news last night.
Purcell, who signed a short-term deal with Cork at the start of the year, has decided to leave the club and will now go on trial at a number of clubs in England in the hope of landing a contract.
Cork boss Tommy Dunne confirmed the departure of the former Nothampton Town stiker, saying, “Tadgh has gone to England. He will go on trials over there. He has gone over to a number of clubs. I don’t know who they are, we’ll just have to wait and see.”
