Allardyce: Carroll will play against QPR

Updated: October 1, 2012

West Ham boss Sam Allardye says on loan Liverpool striker Andy Carroll will return to the Hammers’ side for tonight’s game with Queens Park Rangers.

Carroll picked up a hamstring injury in his debut match for the Londoners against Fulham at the start of September but has returned ahead of time and Allardyce has confirmed he will feature tonight.

“He’s going to be back tonight,” Allardyce told TalkSport this afternoon and says that the former Newcastle man will add a much needed cutting edge to the side’s attack.

“We do create chances home and away, obviously not as many away as at home, but our clinical side has been a bit lacking in terms of converting those chances at the right time.”
