Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli was at it again on Tuesday after bizarrely bursting in on an Inter Milan press conference announcing the new manager of Inter Milan.
The former Inter striker made his ’unexpected’ arrival when new manager Andrea Stramaccioni was being unveiled. The 21 year-old Balotelli parked his Ferrari outside the Inter training ground, before proceeding to walk into the press room, shake hands with Stramaccioni, wish him luck and walk back out again without offering so much as a word of explanation.
Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo, said the visit from the Italian international striker was unexpected but not unusual:
“He came to say hello to everybody at the training centre then left,” Paolillo told British media. “We did not know he was coming but it’s not the first time. It’s typical of Mario. I see him sometimes when he comes to Milan.”
Stramaccioni, aged 36, was part of the Inter youth management team and would have taken charge of Balotelli during the latter’s three seasons at the club. Stramaccioni replaces Claudio Rainieri, who was sacked as Inter head coach on Monday following a 2-0 defeat by Juventus on Sunday and a season which has seen the Nerazzurri fall 10 points off the Champions League placings. Stramaccioni has no previous experience as a first team head coach.
