The incredible transfer rumour that emerged during the latter stages of the last transfer window has gathered pace and now could be a possibility. QPR manager Neil Warnock expressed his interest in David Beckham and now it seems a reality as owner Tony Fernandes has backed the move.

Over the past few years, the former Man United midfielder has joined AC Milan on loan during the close season of the MLS but since his contract runs out at the end of the current season, Beckham would be free to negotiate a move to the Premier League. He has stated that it would be hard to play in the Premier League for a club other then United but he has not ruled it out.

When the rumours emerged, owner Fernandes tweeted:
“I think having someone like David in the club would be great. Was always in my thoughts.”

Warnock has also been heard to say that ‘anything is possible’ as the move gathers momentum. Beckham is yet to comment and a move would not be till January if a deal is agreed.
