Bolton Wanderers are a step closer to signing Liverpool striker David Ngog with a deal likely to be completed before the end of the week.

Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has been chasing Ngog for over a month and has already seen two bids rejected by the Liverpool board. However, with the Anfield side continuing to sign players, Kenny Dalglish may now feel that the time is right to allow the striker to leave.

Coyle is adamant that he wants to sign Ngog as he look to improve his sides attack after giving up on his chase for Jeffren Suarez.
