Commentary:

Full-Time Chelsea record a comfortable 3-1 victory over Everton. The Toffees battled gamely for the first half an hour but it was easy for Chelsea from then on. Sturridge, Terry and Ramires scored for Chelsea, while Vellios got a late consolation goal for Everton.

Half-Time Chelsea reach the interval with a comfortable 2-0 lead after goals from Daniel Sturridge and John Terry. Everton fared well in the opening half an hour but two soft goals have put them in a very difficult position.

35 min Fellaini causes some worries in the Chelsea box with a cross along the ground. The ball is cleared to Osman, who strikes a poor shot from outside the box. Coleman then takes the ball past Cole on the right wing, but he cannot find a teammate with a pass.
34 min Mata flicks the ball past Jagielka. Howard rushes out to smother the ball, however.
31 min Goal for Chelsea! Daniel Sturridge scores for the Blues. A quality forward pass finds Ashley Cole in the box. The left back crosses and Sturridge is left to head into an empty net.

29 min Nice interplay from Chelsea outside the Everton box but it comes to nothing after a Drogba back flick in intercepted.
27 min Drogba finds Ramires on the right wing after a good run from the Brazilian. Fellaini delivers a timely challenge to knock the ball out for a corner.

24 min Strong tackle from Rodwell. Good to see the Everton youngster hasn’t been affected by last week’s ridiculous red card.

21 min Baines finds Fellaini in the box. There is an opening for a split second but Mikel does well to tackle the Belgian and force the ball out for a corner.
20 min Bosingwa shoots wide from outside the box.
19 min Leighton Baines shelters a forward ball wide under pressure from Juan Mata.
17 min Drogba gets past his marker in the box but hesitates and is dispossessed by Jagielka. The Ivorian should have done better.
14 min Fellaini passes through to Cahill but the Australian is offside.

11 min Saha cuts inside and shoots. Decent save from Cech.
10 min Cole tries a through ball but it goes wide.
7 min Daniel Sturridge turns quickly in the box and almost creates a clear opportunity. Leighton Baines then tries to clear but the ball bounces off Sturridge and back across the goal before being hit to safety.
5 min Drogba passes through to Ramires who is eased off the ball by Distin. The defender then clears calmly.
5 min Chelsea enjoy a decent period of possession but Everton intercept and clear.
