Manchester City play their first ever Champions League game on Wednesday evening with a home game against Napoli.

Roberto Mancini has been hit with the news that he is set to be without midfield duo Gareth Barry and James Milner. The pair have been declared doubtful for the game and the news comes after Nigel de Jong was also ruled out due to a foot injury.

Barry hasn’t even trained since injuring his ankle last Tuesday for England and is unlikely to play any part while Milner suffered concussion during Saturday’s win over Wigan.

Mario Balotelli is also unavailable after being sent off in the Europa League against Dynamo Kiev last season.

Man City (from): Hart, Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy, Zabaleta, Savic, Kolarov, K Toure, Barry, Milner, Johnson, Y Toure, Silva, Nasri, Aguero, Dzeko, Tevez, Pantilimon, Taylor.
