Cork manager Walsh to wait on future

Cork manager Denis Walsh is waiting to see the general feeling around the county over his future.

The Munster county exited the All Ireland qualifiers with an abject performance against Galway, succumbing to a heavy 2-23 to 1-14 defeat.

Talking to RTE, Walsh said: “We were tremendous in the first 15 or 20 minutes and played some brilliant hurling. Galway deserved their victory and took over from the 20th minute. They proved their worth.”

Th 46 year old has been Cork manager for three years, but his contract is up.
