Derry City will wear their home strip and have use of the home dressing room in the Aviva Stadium when they face St. Patrick’s Athletic in the FAI Cup final next month.

Derry eased past Shelbourne 3-0 last night thanks to an assured performance punctuated by two goals from Stephen McLaughlin either side of half time and David McDaid.

Pat’s claimed their place in the final on Sunday afternoon with a 3-0 win over Dundalk at Oriel Park.

The two sides last met in the final in 2006 with Derry emerging 4-3 winners after extra time.
