Derry hold on to beat Tyrone

Derry got their Allianz Football League Division Two campaign off to the perfect start with a win over Tyrone.

Sean Leo McGoldrick found the net in the second minute, and Derry led through to the break, with two Paddy Bradley points giving them a 1-7 to 0-5 half time advantage.

Tyrone did their best to narrow the gap in the second half, with Sean Cavanagh and Martin Penrose scoring finepoints, but two scores from substute Emmet McGuckin helped Derry hold on for a deserved success.
