Bray Wanderers utility player Joe Kendrick has signed for Stockport County.

The former Darlington player accepted an offer from new County boss Dietmar Hamann and leaves the Carlisle Grounds on a three year full time contract.

RTE panellist Hamann has been installed at Edgeley Park by the new Liverpool based consortium with the goal of restoring County to the football league after their relegation last season which ended their 106 years in the league.

Hamann spent last season coaching with Sven Goran Eriksson at Leicster City. Hamann confirmed on local BBC Manchester yesterday that he would be looking at players in the Airtricity League as he starts to rebuild County.
