Everton have reportedly agreed a fee with Rangers for Bosnian striker Nikica Jelavic.

Rangers are thought to be looking for £8m for their 26 year old striker, but neither team has confirmed that a fee has been agreed.

Everton have been frugal in recent years due to financial difficulties, but David Moyes has money to spend after the £5m sale of Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.

The Toffees have already signed Landon Donovan on loan from LA Galaxy and Darron Gibson from Manchester United this January.

Moyes would not confirm the Jelavic transfer at his weekly press conference, but he did admit he is looking to bring in more players.

Moyes said: “I never talk about players at other club, I wouldn’t do that. I said probably a month ago that I would hope to bring two or three players in during the window”

Jelavic moved to Rangers for £4m in August 2010 and has scored 30 goals in 45 league games for the Scottish side.
