As SportsNewsIreland reported earlier in the summer, Everton boss David Moyes is keen to sign Bohemians defender and Athy midfielder Kevin Feely.
Moyes’ former Preseton North End team mate, Bohs boss Aaron Callaghan confirmed to the Evening Herald the Toffees’ are still interested in the 19 year old, “there is definite interest there from Everton, it’s just a matter of what they do with it, but they are keen on Kevin.”
Callaghan says though that the premier league outfit aren’t the only one keepy track of the Kildare man.
“They are not the only ones interested: Charlton had Kevin over for four days and while he didn’t play in a match with them when he was there he impressed in training and they’d like to have a second look.
“I would hate to lose Kevin but if we were able to sell him and bring in some finance for the club it would be positive all round as he really wants to further his career.”
Feely has been a shining light in Bohs impressive form this season despite severe budget restrictions, making 18 appearances in the league so far.
Feely would be the third young Irish man at Goodison Park along with Shane Duffy and Seamus Coleman.
