FC Nordsjaelland v Chelsea Preview and Team News

Updated: October 2, 2012

Champions League holders Chelsea travel to Denmark for a clash with Champions League new boys FC Nordsjaelland in their second game in Group E. Kick-Off 19:45

Chelsea were held to a draw by Juventus in their opening game of Group E while Nordsjaelland lost 2-0 to Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine and Chelsea will confident that they can get their first win of the group at Farum Park.

Chelsea failed to win any of their away games in last year’s Champions League except a 1-0 win against Benfica in the quarter-finals and they will be keen to put that right in their first game on their travels in this season’s competition.

Team News:

FC Nordsjaelland coach Kasper Hjulmand has a fully fit squad to choose from as he looks to mastermind one of the biggest shocks in Champions League history by beating the holders. Nordsjaelland have a famous name in 21-year-old winger Andreas Laudrup, son of Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup.

Frank Lampard could return to the starting line-up after being left out of the starting line-up for the last three games. Daniel Sturridge misses out again for Chelsea after failing to recover from a hamstring problem while John Terry is available again after serving a two-match European suspension for the red card he received against Barcelona in last season’s semi-final.
