Donegal 0-7 Fermanagh 0-12

Donegal footballers, chasing three-in-a-row Dr McKenna Cup titles, exited the competition at the hands of Fermanagh at Ballybofey on Saturday night.

The visitors led 0-5 to 0-3 at half-time, with Paul McGrath leading the way up front. Fermanagh were chasing their first victory in this season’s competition.

Adrian O’Hanlon and Marty Boyle did their part to keep Donegal in touch, but the experimental side were unable to get to grips with Fermanagh in the second half. Tonight’s result means that Cavan are now guaranteed a semi-final spot.

Barry Owens and Peter Sherry were the stars on show for Fermanagh, with James Corrigan, Paul Ward and Tomas Corrigan being impressive in the second half.
