The WFDF World Junior Ultimate Championships 2012 have been awarded to *Dublin, Ireland*.
This bi-annual event will be on from the *12th to the 18th of August 2012* in *Dublin City University* (DCU). This was awarded to the local organising committee headed by Dominick Smyth and authorised by the Irish Flying Disks Association (IFDA).
Upon the recommendation of the Ultimate Committee, the World Flying Disc Federation٭ (WFDF) Board of Directors approved the Irish bid during their latest meeting. The last WFDF WJUC event had been held in Heilbronn, Germany, in 2010.
*Over 1,000 competitors* will be competing in two divisions: Junior open and junior women’s at the world class facilities of Dublin City University (DCU). During the event the European U17 Championships is expected to be held at the same venue.
This event will host teams from over 20 different countries, in both
categories, from around the globe, with the likes of USA, Australia and
Japan expected to make a big impact at this year’s event.
With the event confirmed for DCU the expectation is that around 1,400
people will come from abroad to take part in the tournament as either
player, managers, coaches, parents or spectators.
