Fulham Athletic is in discussions with Heerenveen about the possible signings of Luciano Narsingh and Oussama Assaidi over the summer.
Dutch side Heerenveen have confirmed they have given Narsingh, 21, and Assaidi, 23, permission to travel to England to hold talks with Fulham about a possible transfer move over the summer. The pair had a tour of the clubs grounds on Monday and began talks about agreeing personal terms with club officials.
Narsingh has been named in the Holland preliminary squad for the European Soccer Championships this summer and is also being eyed up by other top Dutch sides such as Ajax and PSV Eindhoven. Assaidi is a Morocco International, and both players have one year left on their current contracts with the Dutch side.
Heerenveen technical director Johan Hansma told De Telegraaf, “Narsingh and Assaidi had to have a good feeling with a club. It doesn’t make any sense if we reach an agreement with a club and the players won’t want to go there. To succeed in a transfer there are three sides needed.” This is a clear statement that Fulham are building on their relatively impressive season and wish to strengthen the side fast before next season begins.
