Wales manager Warren Gatland has delayed naming his side for the 6 Nations opener against Ireland at the weekend.

The New Zealander will name his team in 48 hours due to ongoing injury concerns over out-half Rhys Priestland (knee) and blindside flanker Dan Lydiate (ankle).

Ryan Jones, who captained Wales during their successful Grand Slam victory in 2008, would likely replace Lydiate. Gatland would then have to decide between James Hook and the recently recalled Stephen Jones for the fly-half position.
